Claudia’s presentation dealt with the most important aspects of the EU AI Act, a regulation that came into force on 1 August 2024 and will gradually become applicable by 2 August 2027. She highlighted the relationship and differences between the AI Act and the AI-related ISO standards. Also, she pointed out the close relationship between AI Literacy and AI Risk Assessment. Most importantly, Claudia explained the need for AI Risk Assessments in- and outside of the risk management system for so-called high-risk AI systems in order to comply with the regulation. She concluded by presenting initial steps for implementation.
